Friday night crafts

So tonight I had about fourteen women over, all wives whose husbands work with mine, and we had a good time! We all made cards and a scrapbook tin for the guys to take to Iraq. We ate good, drank good, and talked about good stuff! I had a great time so thanks to all my crafty friends-I look forward to the next time! There is something great about women getting together. I love it!
P.S.-This flower is for my friend Kelly who is going through a rough time right now-it'll get better hon.

Homecomings

Shane is home!! He arrived in style, on humpday no less, and all is well. It's always nice when they return...they fly in, get out of the aircraft, we rush out to greet them, and the family is whole again! For a moment you forget they are about to leave for a year. That homecoming should be champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Devin is holding Shane's commanders baby girl, she has always had a mother's instinct-she'll be a good one.

Drake's cast day

Drake went back to the orthopedic clinic today...he is healing nicely! His bones are still set and by looking at the X-Ray I could not tell that he broke his bones! He will be in his cast for three more weeks and we will go back, they will remove it, x-ray his arm, and recast with a short arm cast! Then two weeks later we go back for permanent removal! What a relief to have an ending in sight! The removal date is set for Halloween! So I have alot of this stuff figured out but am trying to find out how I can let you listen to some tunes while reading....more later!

Hello

I am here! I am new to this whole thing and trying it out. The purpose-for Shane to check in on us from Iraq....so he can see the day to day and feel connected. I'm looking forward to trying this out on Yahoo it was easy but so far I'm lost already. Okay to test more!
