home
I'm home!! It's been a long week. We had to empty my childhood home of thirty years of memories, memorabilia, and junk. We had a major sale, gave most away, and really learned who were friends. I could not have survived without my family, my friend Kelly, and my new good friends who were there all along-my neighbors. The work they will continue to do I can never make up for-EVER! That's a hard thing to swallow. I can only try and be so nice to someone else when they need it! I am ready to retire this whole depressing attitude of being parentless and I'm starting tonight with the perfect margarita. I just sent Shane to the store for some Cointreau and I will gather the rest. Tonight is UFC on Pay-per-View.....yes my husband is addicted to it and since he leaves for Iraq in two weeks I will gladly pay the fee, supply some food, and mix the drinks! I really need a party. So to my scrapbooking friends I checked out Recollections-holy cow! I spent my allowance for the year and am still waiting on the truck to pull up with my new stuff.
So this is where my parent's rest at Quantico and the next is my family home...hopefully another family will have as many wonderful thougts about it that I do. Well to the next post of happier thoughts! Oh and Mel my Christmas is Friday-I've barely started shopping-at least my house is decorated. thank you house

I'm really am sorry that you've had a difficult month. I give you a lot of credit dealing with all that you've had to deal with. It's good that Shane has been home during this time for support & comfort.
I've been trying to get my parents to clean their house that they've been in for 18 years, I can't imagine 30 years!
So what kind of goodies are you expecting to pull up from Recollections? Chris & I are taking a class tomorrow with a Pottery Barn Shadow Box frame - I'm VERY exicted.
Christmas - November 25th?? Really?? WOW, it really is arriving earlier and earlier each year. There's a radio station here in Boston that is now 24 hrs Christmas tunes and Dan went out today and got outside Christmas decorations (lights & some lit swirly tree-thingy). Guess I should just succumb and accept that tis the season. However, I won't put up decoration inside until December 1st; that's the only place I can control!
Hope the magarita party tonight is fun!
Love, ~Mel
