just a little....

bragging on my man! Tonight he flew the Colonel around. They call him the G-Man. Well the G-Man just sat back and observed mine for five hours. When they were done he told him,"great flight..keep up the great work"...and then handed him a coin. He usually doesn't give coins except for some air assault missions. For those that know Shane it will be no surprise. I'm so proud. Just wanted to share! I pick up my bro tomorrow and can't wait. I already have our DaVinci Code tickets-can't wait!

What's the significance of handing him a coin?

That's great for Shane! Wow, 5 hours. It sounds like he is amazing at what he does!

Man, I feel that for you, Christine... keeping an eye out for that chaplain- but your instincts I'm sure are on target... he'll be home soon! Not the same thing, but I remember mine calling home from Bosnia w/ stories of nearly missed mines... but I was never really scared because I just had that same intuition...

Gotta say you are a STRONG woman Christine to do without your man all this time and you must be beaming with pride. He will be home before ya know it! Keep up the good faith, and please give Shane a heartfelt thanks for the hard work he does for all of us. OMG I just teared up! I feel so much for you guys and really well up when I think about how hard it must be on you all to be seperated for so long. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts. And thank you too Christine, hang in there sista!
